Stephanie Lawson

Paralegal, Office Manager

Stephanie Lawson is our lead paralegal and operations manager at Blacksburg Law. Throughout each client’s estate planning process, Stephanie manages the project every step of the way, from information preparation and document review to estate plan finalization. She attends to each detail and smooths the process, knowing each client comes to her with individual needs and circumstances that are very different. We believe these qualities are essential to a small estate planning firm like Blacksburg Law.

Before joining our Law team in 2021, Stephanie enjoyed a decades-long career in the U.S. Air Force. She retired in 2016 as a senior master sergeant specializing in operations. During her military career, she assisted in the workings of a 500-plus personnel unit; managed a policy, compliance, and evaluation program for enlisted aviators; and, directed specialized training for linguists. Her driving force was to care for the airmen with genuine kindness and professionalism.

Stephanie worked at Bellevue University in Nebraska, helping veterans access and manage their well-earned education benefits. Stephanie then earned a paralegal certificate from National Paralegal College, a B.S. in accounting from Bellevue University, and a master’s in legal studies from National Juris University. Her hard work netted her positions in two Bay Area law firms before joining the team at Blacksburg, bringing her work ethic, desire to help others, and attention to processes and detail to our attorneys and clients alike. Stephanie makes her home in Williamsburg, Virginia. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with and having adventures with her husband and two young sons.
